Untitled #27
Hey,this is Lottie, I'm sorry for being inactive but i think everyone is finding it hard to cope with school being back and all. Anyhoo, on with the diy...

1) Cut around one side of the laces of the baseball with the razor blade. Be careful not to cut your fingers off and more importantly, don't cut so close you cut the laces or the holes they go in to.

2) Cut around the other side of the laces and peel what is left away from the baseball.

3) Take the scissors and clean up the areas that you cut too far away from the laces. You want to be as close to the laces as possible, without cutting into their holes.

4) Cut the laces where your heart desires so that they become one squigly piece of laces.

5) Remove what is left from behind the laces.

6) Soak the laces in water for at least 1 hour.

7) When you take the laces out of the water, stretch them until they become straight. Let it dry while it is held straight.

8) Wrap the laces around your wrist/ankle/neck to see the length you will need. Cut the laces to fit. For a necklace you may need to add some string and not cut any lace.

9) If you're using clasps, tie the ends of the laces to the holes of the clasps and then hook together. You may need to unthread some lace from the seam to get enough to tie to the clasps. If you are using a safety pin, tie off the ends of the laces and stick the safety pin through each side of the laces and close. That's it!

Bucket List.
Hey everyone(: sorry I haven't been active much recently, I'm back to school and for the past few days I had auditions for a play.. and I got in, so. I might only be able to do 2-3 sets a week now, due to auditions. :3
@indy-x

YOU WILL NEED ;;
Clothespins
A mini bucket
A big enough frame
String or rope

O1 ;;
Take the string and criss-cross it round the back of the frame. Use a hot glue gun or a staple gun to hold the rope in place on the frame.

O2 ;;
Hot glue the mini-bucket to the front of the frame. Fill it up with a pen, sticky note pad and some clothespins for when you decide what to put on the bucket list. :)

If you have completed a goal on the bucket list, throw the sticky note in the bucket. :3
I hope you enjoyed this short but enjoyable tip.

-needle & thread
-a pen
-sewing pins

O1 ;;
Turn your shirt inside out. Then, make a horizontal line with your ruler & pen where abouts you want your cut out to sit.

O2 ;;
Cut out the fabric following the seams of the neckline, button strip and shoulders using your scissors.

Ribbon pinboard. :)
~Indie // @indy-x
__________________

YOU WiLL NEED ;;
~an old corkboard or cardboard covered in fabric, felt, paper or foil
~ribbon { in colours of your choice(: }
~anything to hold the ribbons in place { i'd suggest staples }
~string to hang it with { this is optional }

O1 ;;
Measure ribbon pieces on the pinboard in a diagnol pattern, one way. Cut it to size, but make sure that the ribbon length overhangs the back of the pinboard. Pull it tight, then staple the ribbons in place at the back of the pinboard.

O2 ;;
Repeat this, but with the ribbons facing diagonally the other way. And this time you'll have to weave the ribbon up and over each of the other diagonally placed ribbons that each of these diagonal ribbons cross over. Once it has woven through and overhanging to the back, pull it tight.

O3 ;;
If you're going to hang it, place a hanger on the back of it. Use string or ribbon, or something else that's strong.

O4 ;;
It can be used to pin photos, pieces of paper, business cards, keys, paperclips, pens, notes, etc. (:

Skinny Jeans ;; ♥

Skinny Jeans ;; ♥
Yes guys, you heard right ; DIY.. skinny jeans! It actually does work with one needle & thread. Enjoy (:
~Indie // @indy-x

YOU WILL NEED ;;
-some old, FLARED jeans
-needle
-thread {of any colour, preferably the colour of your jeans}
-scissors {this is optional}
-crayon or marker which is visible on fabric

O1 ;;
Try on your old jeans to see which style you want it to be in. Then, wear them inside out, and use a crayon or marker to mark where abouts you want it to be sewn- do this inside out because you don't want people to see the crayon/pen marks on your jeans, do you? (:

O2 ;;
Take off your jeans, grab a needle & thread and start sewing ! Trace over the line you drew with so it's /exact/. :]

O3 ;;
Once you're done sewing, try on your jeans and see if they fit. Keep on editing them until you get the perfect fit.

O4 ;;
Make sure that your stitches are tight, short, spaced closely, and make sure they have no bumps. Also be careful for the stitches, you don't want them to be pulled out in the wash!

O5 ;;
Cut out any excess fabric if necessary, however, I'd suggest that you might want to wear & wash your jeans at least once before you start cutting them, just in case you want to edit them further on.

FINISHED! (:
I hope this helped. Thanks for reading, & good byee[:

Embellished Denim Shirt (:

Embellished Denim Shirt (:
add @thebestcookbook ♥

what you need;
chambray or denim shirt
assorted buttons
flat back pearls
assorted rhinestones
Jewel-It washable glue
a pair of flush wire cutters
a toothpick
a disposable wooden spoon or plastic container

what to do?(:
For shank style buttons, start by cutting off the backs with a pair of flush cutters. Vintage buttons are most commonly made of lightweight metal and plastic so cutting off the shanks is very easy. For embellished collars, make sure there are two sets of embellishments so that the design is symmetrical.

Squeeze a dollop of Jewel-It washable glue onto a wooden spoon or small plastic container. Jewel-It is the best bonding agent when it comes to glueing hard-to-hold jewels and embellishments onto fabrics. Use a toothpick to dab glue onto the back of a button, rhinestone, or pearl.

Position the embellishment on the tip of the collar and work outwards.

Note that the glue does not set right away and takes quite a while to dry so be careful not to nudge the pieces around too much.

Repeat the same design on the other collar tip and that’s it, you’re done! Allow to dry at least 24 hours before handling or wearing and even though clothing can be washed after using Jewel-It, I would recommend dry cleaning the shirt only.

bow clutch :)

bow clutch :)
Supplies you'll need:
1/2 yard exterior fabric*
1/4 yard interior fabric (I recommend a quilting cotton)
9" zipper that matches your exterior fabric
1/4 yard #808 Pellon Craft Fuse interfacing
Sewing thread that matches your exterior fabric
Sewing machine
Scissors
Pins
Iron & ironing board
*I recommend a medium to heavier weight cotton for this. Linen is what I'm using, and it works perfectly. You don't want to use a quilting weight cotton or something really light - it will make the final product too flimsy.

1. Start by cutting your exterior pieces. I use a quilting cutting mat which makes things as accurate as possible.

2. Now cut interior fabric pieces.

3. Cut interfacing.

4. Bring your strap piece to the ironing board.

Sometimes, at the end of this step, if my strap doesn't feel sturdy enough, I'll cut a thin strip of interfacing and tuck it inside the crease before sewing. This is an optional step.

5. Now it's time to sew your strap.

6. Set the strap aside and let's work on the "knot" of your bow.

7. Once you've gotten the "knot," let's work on the other part of your bow.

8. Set your bow aside for now, and grab your interior and exterior fabric pieces and your pieces of interfacing.

9. Now it's time to attach your bow.

10. Set those pieces aside and let's work on installing your zipper.

11. Attach the exterior fabrics to the other side of your zipper.

12. You're on the home stretch! Let's add the strap and finish the bag!
